Congratulations to 'My Own Enemy' ... the overall
winner of FReeZA Push Start for 2008-09
The lads performed a cracking set to the largest audience that the FReeZA
Push Start stage had all day. The band walk the fine line between metal
and hardcore with finesse, maturity beyond their years and supreme musicality.
What 'My Own Enemy' brought to the table was something that few bands
bring - a sound that can win over people (like myself) to a style of
music that they thought they didn't like!! Well done lads...

EXCITING NEWS ANNOUNCEMENT:
The overall FReeZA Push Start winner, to also perform live on stage
at Groovin' the Moo!!
An exciting partnership has been reached between The Push and the Groovin'
the Moo festival organisers - whereby the overall winner of FReeZA Push
Start has the opportunity to perform alongside The Living End, Hilltop
Hoods, The Grates, De La Soul (US), Architecture in Helsinki, Little
Birdy, Muscles, Van She, The Drones and many more.
For the first time, the festival will make it's way all the way south
to Bendigo, Victoria on Saturday, May the 16th, 2009.

The Southern Metropolitan Regional Final on the 5th of December was the last for the year, which means THE FReeZA PUSH START REGIONAL FINALS ARE OVER FOR 2008!

The Grand Final at Push Over 2009 is going to be a cracker - there's an incredibly diverse range of musical styles represented in the above list!
The FReeZA Push Start Regional Finals have been an incredible series of events, and I have had the good fortune to be able to attend every one of them this year. There have been some stunning performances from people showing musical maturity and stagecraft well and truly beyond their years. I would like to personally thank every band that has performed and also the hard working FReeZA workers and committees who hosted a FReeZA Push Start Regional Final. See you all at Push Over in March, 2009.
